Then, in 2012 I started my Master’s studies at the University of Concepción, with Dr. Matías Jones in the study of binary stars around giant stars that are candidates to host exoplanets and brown dwarfs. This study consisted in the follow-up these stars and do the characterization, finding good results which were published in A & A (2016A & A … 593A.133B).
In 2015 I started my PhD program. I working with the Professor Dr. Márcio Catelán in the calculation of accurate radial velocities for a group of stars belonging to the blue end of the horizontal branch (BHB). This type of stars belonging to the Halo, due to their nature and brightness, are excellent tracers to study the structure and kinematics of the oldest components of our Milky Way.
