As part of the Ceremony of Research Results and Intellectual Property Transfer, held in the Innovation Center: Anacleto Angelini of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, MAS researcher and astronomer from this university, Andrés Jordán, along with Vincent Suc, astroengineer from this same university, were recognized by the creators of the spin-off company: ObsTech, a corporation that will offer control systems to remotely operate telescopes, making more immediate the astronomical observation experience.

According to Andrés Jordán, the significance of this innovation is to strengthen the creation of new local technologies to study the Universe, serving both amateur astronomers and professionals of this field. The spin-off ObsTech is supported by CORFO’s Technological Packaging for New Business Program and it also has the collaboration of Santiago Royo, PhD in applied optics from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain.
